Sending a correction
Corrections are the most valuable mail we get, and they are acted on fastest when they arrive in a usable shape. Please include:
- the address of the page and the sentence you are disputing
- what the sentence should say instead
- the source that supports your version, as a link or an attached document
- whether you are connected to the platform concerned
We check corrections against the sources listed in our method. Where a correction is accepted, the page is edited and its verification date is updated so readers can see that it moved. Where it is declined, you get a reply explaining why.
If you operate a platform we have written about
Most of our analyses end with a long list of things we could not confirm. Every item on that list can be closed by a document, and we would genuinely rather publish the document than the gap.
Useful things to send: the legal name of the operating entity, a supervisory registration we can look up ourselves, a published fee schedule, and a terms document reachable without depositing. Requests to remove a page without supplying evidence are logged and declined.
If you have lost money
We are sorry, and we want to be straightforward about the limits of what this site can do. Coinalytics Lab cannot recover funds, cannot contact a platform on your behalf and cannot act as an intermediary in a dispute. Nobody here will ever ask you for a payment to help with a recovery, and anyone making that offer in our name is not connected to us.
What usually helps is reporting the matter to the financial supervisor in your own country and to your payment provider, both of which have powers that a publisher does not. If you want to tell us what happened so that we can check a platform more carefully, we will read it and treat it as confidential, but we will not publish your account as a testimonial.
Suggesting a platform
Send the exact brand name as it appears in the advertising, and a link to where you saw it if you still have one. Names in this market are engineered to be nearly identical to each other, so the precise string matters more than it normally would.
