Robinhood CEO praises Shiba inu as crypto wallet waitlist grows from 1.6M to 1.6M

Robinhood is under increasing pressure to list one the most popular meme coins available on the market. The waitlist for Robinhood’s crypto wallet has risen to 1.6million users.
Robinhood COO Christine Brown praised the Shiba Inu communities, but stated that safety was more important than the “short-term gain” of listing new tokens. She said that Shiba Inu (SHIB), was one of her favorite things. However, Brown wouldn’t comment on whether or not the American stock and cryptocurrency trading app would list Shiba Inu. SHIB, currently the 11th largest cryptocurrency, has a market capital of $30 billion. A change.org petition has more than half amillion signatures. Brown stated that Robinhood is a safety-first company that carefully evaluates the regulatory feasibility of its listings. “We believe that the short-term gain to us isn’t worth the long term tradeoff for our users.” Brown also revealed that Robinhood has over 1.6 million members on its crypto wallet waitlist. The crypto wallet will allow users to transfer cryptos onto and off the platform when it launches. Users are eager to have control of their coins. This is evident by the high demand. It has been in a downtrend ever since Nov. 3, when a wallet holding approximately $5.7 billion USD worth of the token was revived.
