Marvel and DC ban comic book artists selling superhero NFTs

Comic book publishing giants want sole control over their intellectual property in NFT space.
Marvel and DC are reportedly breaking with the tradition of artists and creators being able to sell original prints of published works. This is due to their reported plans to enter the nonfungible space. The NFT market has grown from a small niche in crypto to become a prominent sector of the digital economy. Corporate brands have started to target this space by launching digital collectibles or acquiring popular NFTs. Card payment giant Visa spent $150,000 on Crypto Punk #7610. However, the huge growth experienced in the summer months seems waned. Sales and floor prices for “blue-chip” NFTs have also declined in September.
