Crypto.com secures $75M deal for Australian women’s soccer team

The deal will be the first major sponsorship of crypto sports in Australia. It will also be the first for women’s sport.
The first major sponsorship deal in crypto sports has been made by the Australia Football League (AFL). This partnership will allow Crypto.com to support its women’s football league (AFLW). The deal will be worth close to $75million over five years. This is a significant increase on the existing $18.5 million sponsorship agreement with Toyota. Crypto.com, a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange, offers digital wallets and cryptobacked debit cards. This partnership will be Crypto.com’s first sponsorship of an Australian sports team. It will also be the first time that Crypto.com has sponsored a women’s elite sports competition. Kylie Rogers, AFL executive general manager customer and commercial, said that she is proud to have been a part of this milestone. “The AFL is proud that it is the first Australian sports league and elite women’s competition to partner with an organization that shares our passion for the future of elite sport, technology, and sport.” According to Karl Mohan, Crypto.com Asia & Pacific general manager, Kylie Rogers, AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial, she said that the company was attracted to Australia’s high interest in crypto. SurveyCrypto.com has accumulated a number sports branding deals totaling more than $1.5 billion over the past month. The $700 million deal was signed by the crypto company to rename Los Angeles’ Staples Center to the Crypto.com Arena. This deal will be in place for the next 20-years. It also signed a sponsorship agreement worth $100 million with Formula 1 in June and a $175,000,000 sponsorship agreement with UFC in July.
